For students who have just purchased their first camera to more advanced students looking to start a home studio or photography business, classes are designed for photographers of all levels interested in developing their photographic craft.
With direct, hands on learning and a small student to teacher ratio, at photoclass.ca you’ll learn practical skills in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Photo Basics
The basics of photography, students will learn about the relationship of Shutter speed, aperture and ISO as well as basic focus and colour techniques and equipment considerations.
Intended for beginners, the Photo Basics workshop will prepare students for the amazing world of photography with fun hands on instruction.

Night photography
Don’t be afraid of the dark, the night is a great time for photography.
Join in the fun with Stefano as you experiment with light painting, long exposures, and flash photography.
Intended as a “next step” in your photographic learning, students must complete the PHOTO BASICS or equivalent class to attend.
Flash Photography
Learn how to use your flash! Through this two hour workshop, Stefano will guide students through the world of studio flash units as well as onboard camera flashes. Intended for photographers looking to create new lighting environments as well as set up home studios, The Flash Photography workshop will give students the confidence they need to start using flash photography in their work right away.
Studio Photography
Explore the world of studio photography while photographing food and still life. The studio photography workshop is intended for intermediate students with a solid understanding of the basics of photography as well as an understanding of flash photography. We will dive into easily attainable and affordable lighting gear and accessories while learning how to create professional results in your own home studio.
